Spring Consulting Project Company Reveal
We are so excited to announce the companies that Freshman Launch will be partnering with for the Spring 2021 semester as part of our Spring Consulting Project! In this project, our members will have the opportunity to work with one of the five companies listed below to help them solve a real-world business problem that they currently face. Launch members will use the skills and knowledge they have gained from our curriculum, as well as their own background knowledge and expertise, to analyze data, think critically, ideate solutions, and present their findings to the company at the project’s culmination. We are thrilled to be able to offer this kind of exposure and hands-on engagement to our members so early in their academic career.
The five companies we will be partnering with include:
Valero: Valero is a multinational, Fortune 500 petroleum company working to provide transportation fuels and other chemical products to their customers. The company has over 4,000 retail sites throughout the U.S. and is set to be the largest petroleum refiner in the U.S. in the next few years.
Snarf’s Sandwiches: Snarf’s is a family-owned sandwich restaurant with over 20 locations throughout the United States. They are best known for their made-to-order sandwiches, made using only fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Jeany’s Elixir: Jeany’s Elixir is health and wellness-based establishment providing nutritious and delicious juices and snacks. Their recipes come directly from the owner’s grandmother and helped her to bring a piece of her birthplace, Grenada, to the Austin area.
Circle K: Circle K is a widely known convenience store chain offering a variety of products for travelers on the go. Originally founded in El Paso in 1951, the company has now expanded to over 9,000 locations nationwide with additional stores operating under franchise agreements in international areas.
Kanarys: Through its specialized consulting services, Kanarys is an innovative diversity and inclusion solution for the modern workplace and the modern worker. Employees can receive demographic statistics about companies, leave and read anonymous reviews on workplace culture, and stay up to date on news in the D&I sector.
